A closed geometric shape defined by a sequence of coordinates, used to represent place boundaries, trade areas, custom study zones, or administrative regions.
In GeoJSON, a polygon is stored as an ordered list of coordinate pairs tracing its outer boundary (and optionally inner rings for holes) the same structure whether it’s describing a single building footprint, a hand-drawn trade area, or a national border.
