Batch Processing

Batch processing is a method of ingesting or delivering data in large, scheduled chunks rather than in real time commonly used for cloud delivery pipelines (e.g., S3, Snowflake drops).

Rather than answering individual API calls in real time, a batch job packages a full day’s (or week’s) worth of records and drops it as a file into a destination the customer already owns an S3 bucket, a Snowflake share, a BigQuery dataset which is typically cheaper and easier to model against than streaming the same volume live.
